What is Epoxy Flooring?

An epoxy floor is a resilient, plastic-like surface by combining a two-part resin with a hardening agent. This mixture results in tough protective layer that can be applied over concrete, wood and tile floors.

Why Choose Epoxy Flooring?

Epoxy flooring is recognized for its outstanding durability and resistance to chemicals, stains, impacts, and heavy wear.

How Long Does Installation Take?

The installation process for our epoxy flooring typically 3 to 5 days. After the epoxy has cured, we apply seal coat that provides a glossy finish, which requires an additional 24 hours to cure before it can be walked on.

How Long Do Epoxy Floors Last?

Epoxy floors can endure for 10 to 20 years or longer, depending on factors such as the level of foot traffic, exposure to sunlight, installation quality, maintenance practices, the thickness of the epoxy coating.

Are Epoxy Floors Slippery?

Epoxy floors may become slippery when wet because of their smooth, glossy surface., this slipperiness can be greatly minimized or completely eliminated by incorporating textured additives such as sand or applying anti-slip topcoats.

Do Epoxy Floors Smell or Release Harmful Fumes?

Epoxy floor installations emit strong, potentially harmful fumes and produce a strong chemical odor during the curing process. Off-gassing can persist for several weeks, particularly in enclosed areas.

Is Epoxy Safe for Homes with Kids and Pets?

Cured epoxy is safe for homes with children and pets; however, it is not safe during the installation and curing process because of potentially harmful fumes. We strongly advise temporarily relocating and keeping children and pets away for the first24-48 hours of curing, or until all odors have cleared. Once fully cured, epoxy floors are non-toxic.

How Soon Can I Walk or Park on a Epoxy Floor?

You can walk on your epoxy floor after 18-24 hours and park on it after 72 hours (3 days). The complete curing process takes 5-7 days, depending on the temperature and humidity levels.
